When an economic development organization is “in the weeds” with the day to day pursuit of its activities it is difficult to stop and analyze its marketing and positioning efforts.  Having an experienced third party to do an evaluation and recommendations for new or improved marketing strategies and tactics allows for continuous improvement without disruption to the current program.  SHEDC conducts an analysis that includes all existing marketing materials and web/social media employed by the organization as well as evaluating participation in tradeshows, conferences and other activities leading to resultant suspect, prospect and project results for the most recent five (5) years.  Specifically, the amount of activity and outcomes from those activities focused on the organization’s target market sectors are evaluated to determine the level of interest and success generated from prospects/projects within the defined sectors.

As an add-on service to the basic marketing program analysis, SHEDC site location consultants will visit your location to evaluate existing “product” and other assets that can attract new businesses or foster the growth of existing businesses and provide valuable input on strengths and weaknesses through a Site Selector Consultant’s Scorecard reflecting;
