SHEDC Partner Re-appointed to Halifax Community College Board of Trustees
Rocky Lane, Sanford Holshouser partner, was recently re-appointed to a second term on the Halifax Community College Board of Trustees and elected Vice-Chair of that body. Previously, Rocky served on the Board of Education for the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District. Additionally, before beginning a thirteen year tenure as the Executive Director of Economic Development for Halifax County, Rocky served for thirteen years in various positions with Halifax Community College, the last of which was as Dean for Continuing Education for the school. His duties in that position included working with the Community College’s customized industry training program. All of this experience makes him exceptionally well-suited to advise industries and local economic developers on labor force issues and training programs for industrial employers.
